Three lives pushed to the edge. Three choices with devastating consequences.
Cine Circle is pleased to announce the release of Breaking Point, a tense new psychological thriller anthology exploring what happens when trauma, fear and desperation push ordinary people beyond their limits.
Bringing together three gripping short films — Man with a Gun, Ticking and Tightly Bound — the anthology follows three people facing deeply personal crises where every decision could have life-changing consequences.
In Man with a Gun, the fallout from an armed robbery forces those involved to confront the violence, fear and uncertainty left behind. Ticking follows a troubled young man whose deteriorating state of mind leaves him questioning what is real and whether he can trust his own thoughts. In Tightly Bound, a pregnant woman trapped inside an abusive marriage desperately searches for a way to escape before it is too late.
Although each story stands alone, they are united by characters who have reached the moment when they can no longer continue as before. Their circumstances may be different, but each is forced to confront the same question: what happens when a person finally reaches their breaking point?
Blending psychological suspense, crime, domestic drama and emotional intensity, Breaking Point examines the lasting effects of abuse, trauma and violence. The anthology focuses not only on moments of danger, but on the fear, isolation and internal conflict that build long before someone is pushed over the edge.
Featuring Brandon Wahlberg, known for Patriots Day, the anthology is designed for audiences who enjoy dark, character-driven thrillers in the vein of Black Mirror, The Guilty and Inside No. 9.
The release forms part of Cine Circle’s continuing work to bring independently produced short films together as feature-length anthologies, helping original filmmakers and festival films reach wider audiences through digital distribution.
Breaking Point is now released.
